CSN Mid-Atlantic sportscaster Michael Jenkins is having a hard time swallowing the Washington Capitals game 6 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

“You like to drink?” he asked the audience before pulling a full glass of what appears to be rum and coke out from underneath his desk. He promised viewers that he would be drinking away his misery during the entire broadcast and held up his end of the bargain.

Things got really depressing when he told the youth of America to just give up on their dreams. “It’s all one big lie” he declares when referring to the old adage that you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it.

He ends the segment by downing the glass as his coworkers encourage him to “chug, chug, chug, chug.” He then admits, “that got out of hand.” You can also hear him comment on the strength of the drink at the very end of the video.

The next time you are upset about your hometown team losing in the playoffs, just remember it could be worse. You could be Michael Jenkins.
