Team USA’s basketball team has been taking some heat lately. So far in these Rio Olympics, they’ve underwhelmed with their play on court and people have been waiting for a game to get behind the team.

Wednesday night’s game was it. Team USA blew out an older Argentinean side by the scoreline 105-78, and they actually played some team basketball–FINALLY.

The real star of the win over Argentina, was new Warriors forward Kevin Durant. We’ve been waiting for someone on Team USA to step up, and Durant did. He recorded a game-high 27 points on 13 shots in 28 minutes. He was very efficient, and he also brought the house down with this Euro Step drive to the hoop. He took a page out of the European playbooks, and at seven-feet, no one is stopping that.

Note: Remember to listen our NBA podcast, perfectly named the “Euro Step.”
