The Atlanta Braves brought in their second 40+-year-old pitcher in as many days with their signing of Bartolo Colon on Friday.

The Braves and R.A. Dickey agreed to a deal Thursday, which makes this Colon move a bit of a head-scratcher. Signing two of the oldest pitchers in MLB to save your struggling pitching staff doesn’t seem like the smartest solution, but I guess we’ll see how it plays out.
All I know is New York Mets fans must be both sad and extremely annoyed about this news. Not only do they lose their beloved Colon, they also have to deal with one of their division rivals taking all of their sloppy seconds.
