So apparently Christian McCaffrey and Leonard Fournette are not playing in their bowl games due to preparation for the NFL combine and just NFL life in general. They don’t want to get hurt before their NFL career even starts.

Leonard Fournette will not play in LSU’s bowl game. Will focus on pre-draft process.

I need to state this very clearly: “I, @SalimsGot_Dibs, could not agree any harder with Christian McCaffrey and Leonard Fournette’s decision” – me. Good for those two. Oh you are playing in a meaningless bowl game and could risk injury that would prohibit you from making some life altering money? Yeah where do I not sign up for that.
I get people are going to be mad at their decision. It is an unconventional decision and unconventional decisions are always going to be “controversial.” Those people can go kick rocks. It’s time NCAA football players look out for their own personal livelihood. They get exploited for thousands, even millions of dollars. They get screwed when coaches who recruited them decide to leave and go to a new school and they’re stuck either having to waste a year in their prime by sitting out to transfer or playing for a coach that they are unfamiliar with. Enough is enough. Good for Christian McCaffrey and Leonard Fournette standing up for themselves and doing what is right for them and their futures.
