Lance Kendricks was one yard away from being an even richer man than he already is.
The Los Angeles Rams right end needed to rack up 500 receiving yards over the course of the 2016 NFL season to earn a $250K bonus. He finished with 499. Yikes.
The agony of incentives: Rams TE Lance Kendricks needed 500 yards to earn a $250,000 incentive this year. He finished with 499.

Kendricks’ card isn’t going to get declined any time soon. He signed a four-year, $18.5 million contract in 2015 and $10 million of that is guaranteed. Still, I don’t care how much money you make, missing out on $250K because of one yard (that’s three goddamn feet) hurts.
Now on that note, I’m going to go check my student loan balance and cry myself to sleep.
