Hey good night last night, eh?! We’ll look to stay hot through the weekend with a very exciting UFC card this weekend. Lots of very interesting fights that are gonna be tough to pick… But that’s why I’m here. Let’s dive in!

Abel Trujilo vs James Vick:

A couple of dudes sitting right outside the top 15 go head to head in a fight that’s huge as both men look to take the next step in their careers. James “The Texecutioner” Vick (not sure how I feel about that nickname) is a former TUF competitor who towers over the 155 lbs division at 6’3. Vick is still looking for a signature win after getting KO’d by #8 Beniel Dariush in his last outing. Trujilo would be by far Vicks best victory, but he’s in for a serious fight against “Killa.” Once that cage locks Trujilo walks forward and attacks with serious aggression. ‘Killa hits hard, and has a solid wrestling game to go along with his heavy hands. Trujilo has 2 losses in the UFC, and they’re to the 2 men going that’ll go at it for the Interim 155 belt in #1 Khabib Nurmagomedov and #2 Tony Ferguson. Granted the Khabib fight was arguably the most one sided fight I’ve ever seen, I love that he’s got experience against the divisions elite, I’m going with Trujilo as a small underdog. Trujilo at -110.

Dennis Bermudez #9 vs Chan Sung Jung:

*Disclaimer* so last weekend I met this bro named Dennis at a party and he gave me and my buddy a shit ton of his booze, so I’ve got a soft spot for Dennis’s.

The Korean Zombie is back!!! 3 ½ years out of the cage to serve in the Korean military, and to recover from a brutal shoulder injury suffered in his last fight. That last fight was a title shot against then P4P King, Jose Aldo. The Zombie has finished the likes of Mark Hominick, Dustin Porier and Leonard Garcia in his UFC career, but Porier is the only win he holds over a current UFC rostered fighter. The Zombie is a talented striker with a slick submission game, but anyone that claims they know what Jung will look like after 3 ½ years off is insane. In Dennis “The Menace” we know exactly what we’re getting, an aggressive in your face fighter with an amazing wrestling game. Dennis will be on Jung’s ass from the get-go, and will look to trade bombs in the pocket before picking up and dropping The Zombie on his back before he even knows what hit him. I know it was 4 years ago, but Dennis took out today’s top 145’er in the world in Max Holloway. Recent losses to Jeremy Stephens and Ricardo Lamas have put a halt to Bermudez’s title hopes, but he’s won 2 in a row and a win tonight would put him in line for another big fight with a top contender. This will be fireworks! But at the end of the day I think The Zombie has too much going against him. Bermudez -200.

Alexa Grasso #12 vs Felice Herrig:

“Big B’s Lock” I hate to go with such a big favorite, but Grasso is currently all the rage in the 115 lbs division. Grasso has fantastic hands, and is better than Herrig in almost every aspect of MMA. Herrig is a gate-keeper for Grasso to the next step toward stardom. Grasso and Yair Rodriguez are the keys to the UFC in Mexico, so slotting her in the co-main event against a journeywoman is all part of the UFC’s plan to expose Grasso to the world and get her on the fast track to a title shot as their quickly running out of opponents for Joanna Jedrzejczyk. Grasso at -315.

Alright guys that’ll do for me till next week! Make sure to tune in as we’ve got some very exciting fights!
