ALERT: SPOILERS for Always Sunny are going to be below. Don’t read if you haven’t seen last night’s finale yet. If you do, I’m not liable for your stupidity.

So unless you’ve been living under a rock, you have probably heard that season 12 of Always Sunny has been absolute A+ from head to toe. The last few episodes might have been a little iffy, but that is only because the rest of the season had been so good.

Anyway, last night was the season finale and it was about Dennis Reynolds’ life. Any time an episode is centered around Dennis Reynolds, it is going to have high expectations. Dennis is one of, if not, the funniest characters on the show.

Fast forward 20 minutes into the episode and the show had lived up to expectations. There had been at least 3 knee slapping parts and there was a scene with Frank that had me in tears. I was very satisfied with the episode, it was EASILY one of the funniest all season and then all hell broke loose.  The last scene has Dennis leaving the bar to go take care of his kid and then the show kind of just ended….

To say I was very confused is an understatement. I’ve never seen an episode do a 180 like that where it was very funny and then all of a sudden serious. My brain was spinning, I didn’t know what I just saw, and I was scrambling for answers.  The craziest part of this whole ordeal was that there were NO answers on Twitter. I didn’t even know that was possible. Twitter always has the answers. So naturally I dug deeper because I have nothing else to do with my life. Here is what I found:

WHAT.THE.ACTUAL.FUCK.  This can’t be real. That show without Dennis does not sound appealing at all. Why would one of the creators of the show ever considering leaving the biggest sitcom on TV? Also why are more people not freaking about this? This show gets millions of views a week and no one cares that one of the main characters might leave? I hope this is all #fake news
