Pretty interesting card this weekend, but nothing to get overly excited about considered Artem Lobov, who is unranked is fighting in the main event. Let’s not waste any time though, let’s hit it.
Ovince Saint Preux #8 vs Marcos Rogerio De Lima
Man OSP used to be a fun prospect that seemed destined to turn into a title challenger after starting his UFC career 6-1. Since his blazing hot start he’s gone 1-4, and could very well be fighting for his job this weekend. De Lima hasn’t left the first round in his 6 fights in the UFC. The difference in this one for me is OSP having faced the likes of Jon Jones, Shogun, Jimi Manuwa and Ryan Bader.. where De Lima has never faced a top 15 opponent. OSP will have his home crowd backing him as he gets back on track with a win (De Lima missed weight, and I never pick guys that miss weight). OSP at -165.
Al Iaquinta #14 vs Diego Sanchez
Now, I’m well aware Iaquinta is the superior fighter… However, he’s got no business sitting at a whopping -400! Especially against an absolute dog like Diego. Judges love the pace and aggression Diego fights with, so if this thing goes the distance I think there’s a great chance Diego steals a win. Not gonna put a boatload on this one, but Diego is a crazy mother fucker and one of my boys ride that I’ll ride till I die. Sanchez at +300.
Stevie Ray vs Joe Lauzon
“Big B’s Lock” Speaking of ride or dies, what’s good J-Lau?! Lauzon is my favorite fighter of all-time, he’s a good o’l Boston kid, he holds the UFC record for most post fight bonuses, and he wears the crimson mask like nobody else. It’s sad to his career start winding down, but I’ll damned if some punk named “Stevie” is gonna beat Lauzon.. it just ain’t gonna happen. Stevie is a name for little boy’s and creeps, kid doesn’t stand a chance. Lauzon at +160.
You know the drill, lock these bad boys in and make yourself some cold hard cash.
