The first round of the 2017 NBA postseason was interesting, as most of the series (even the ones that were one-sided in terms of wins) featured evenly-matched play. The Warriors continued to showcase that they are virtually unstoppable, but an easy matchup with the Portland Trail Blazers could have been the reason why. Russell Westbrook’s dominant season came to an end, while James Harden and Kawhi Leonard’s incredible years moved forward. In the East, LeBron James and the Cavaliers pulled off a fairly unimpressive sweep of the Indiana Pacers in which they could’ve potentially lost every game. The Celtics got off to a tough start after the tragedy involving Isaiah Thomas’s sister seemed to greatly affect them, but they came storming back to top the Bulls in six games. The other series were great, for the most part, as well. All in all, the first round was wild, but the second round is likely going to follow the script much more closely. Here’s what to expect.
