The drivers take their talents to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend for the Coca Cola 600.

The Coca Cola 600 is the longest race on the NASCAR circuit. Needless to say, a lot can happen over the course of a 600-mile race, which makes predictions even more difficult than usual.

Still, we’re going to go over the usual five picks of the weekend. Sleeper, value, my personal pick, and two safe bets.

Here they are:

*odds are according to Westgate Sportsbook

Sleeper Pick: Kasey Kahne (50:1)

Kahne has won the Coca Cola 600 three times, won the fall race at Charlotte once, and finished third there last fall. He’s definitely the guy to throw a few bucks on if you want a long shot. He’s starting 24th so it won’t be easy, but it’s certainly possible in this four-stage race.

Value Pick: Jamie McMurray (30-1)

You (probably): Hey Justin, stop putting McMurray as your value pick every week.

Me: No

McMurray is ridiculously consistent. Plus, his first career victory came at Charlotte. Who’s to say history can’t repeat itself 15 years later?

My Pick: Joey Logano (8-1)

Logano has led the most laps (901) at 1.5-mile tracks since the start of the 2015 season. He also leads all active drivers in average finishing position at Charlotte with a 11.18.

Two Safest Picks:  Kevin Harvick (6-1) & Martin Truex Jr. (9-2)

Harvick is on the pole and enjoys success at 1.5-mile tracks, namely Charlotte. Truex dominated last year’s Coca Cola 600 and will start eighth Sunday night. They’re both safe picks every week, but this week that’s especially the case.
