I cannot believe we are only 95 days away from the NFL season! Some may think it is too early to discuss fantasy football, but those people typically come in last place. Once June rolls around, I start taking my fantasy research very serious, hence why I have never missed the playoffs in my dynasty league. Spoiler alert- I am not about to lose my streak this season. Now, QB’s the least important position on a fantasy roster.. I once won a championship with Kirk Cousins as my QB during his 2nd season in the NFL. With that being said, let’s dive into my top 10 QB rankings for 2017.

10. Jamies Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

God, Mike Evans is a freaking baller and I love everything about him. He and Jamies had a strong chemistry in their first couple seasons and I can only see that growing in 2017 with the additions of Desean Jackson and O.J. Howard. You will be able to snag Winston late in drafts, making him a tremendous value pick with high upside.

9. Marcus Mariota, QB, Tennessee Titans

I thought Marcus was going to be such a bust in the NFL when the Titans took him second overall a few years back. But I was very wrong. This young stud has never thrown a red zone pick and now with the addition of Corey Davis, I fail to see how this team doesn’t take the next step this upcoming season. Not to mention he is a smart dual threat QB who will also provide rushing yards and rushing TD’s to his overall statistics.

8. Cam Newton, QB, Carolina Panthers

I love the additions of Christian McCaffery and Curtis Samuel to the Panthers offense. This is going to open up so many more QB sneaks and trick plays to confuse opposing defenses. Not to mention Greg Olsen and Kelvin Benjamin (I think he”ll be in better shape for the season) will help stretch the field and become big red zone targets for Cam.

7. Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta Falcons

Last season in my work league, I took Matt Ryan in the third to last round in a 16 team league.. Matty Ice was the only QB I took in that league! Teams were taking guys like, Romo and Bradford as their third string QB’s in that league. But, like I said earlier, you can find a QB anywhere. Ryan was a beast for me last season and while I don’t think he or the Falcons will be as good this season, he still comes in at number 7 for me in 2017.

6. Derek Carr, QB, Oakland Raiders

Big B has Carr winning the MVP this season and you’re damn right I’ll be throwing some cash on that! With weapons with Cooper, Crabtree, and my main main Beast Mode I don”t see how this offense could fail. The only reason Carr isn’t higher is because he’s coming off injury and I can see the potential for a decrease in statistics due to better game planning by opponents. With that being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if Carr was number one on this list in 2018.

5. Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks

Last season, I had Russell pegged as a top 3 QB in fantasy leagues.. I was wrong. Injuries and inconsistency derailed his season (I’m glad I don’t pick QB’s high or I would have been all over Wilson). I do think Russ will bounce back with a strong season in 2017 because he is surrounded with play-makers like Jimmy, Baldwin, Lockett, Prosise, and Eddie (that last one was kind of a joke).

4. Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots

I’m not entirely sure who is going to run the ball on this team now that Blount is gone. I seems as those the running game for the pats will be little dump-offs to James White and screen plays to the wide receivers. I see this as both good and bad for Brady in 2017. On the plus side he is going to have a stupid about of passing attempts which equals a lot of fantasy points. On the other hand, Brady is turning 40.. I know he had one of his best seasons of all-time but so did Peyton Manning, and we all know how that ended. All in all, he still cracks my top 5 with ease.

3. Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts

I’m projecting a BIG break out season for Andrew Luck. He has trouble with injuries and interceptions over the past couple of seasons but I truly believe this is the year he takes the next step towards greatness. The chemistry he has with T.Y Hilton, along with the young talent like Dorsett and Doyle, I like Luck to have a monster year.

2. Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans Saints

I freaking love Drew Brees. He is always so under rated and under valued that I always steal him late in fantasy drafts. Last year 6 QB’s went before Brees in my dynasty draft and he finished 3rd overall. Even with Cooks off to New England I still think the Saints will be whipping the ball all over the field.

1. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers is a bad dude and I have picked against him way to many times in my career. I’m not going to make the same mistake this season. A-Rod comes in at number one for a few reasons:

1. He is the best overall QB in the NFL

2. He has the best supporting cast in the NFL (Jordy, Cobb, Adams, and Bennett)

3. Lastly, he has (by far) the lowest floor and one of the highest ceiling in regards to fantasy points

With all that said, I’d be surprised if Rodgers every made it on one of my teams because he’s typically drafted in the first 4 rounds.. and I refuse to take a QB before the 6th..
