Unless you’re rooting for the Penguins in this year’s Stanley Cup Final, Game 5 wasn’t much fun. Pittsburgh cruised to a convincing 6-0 win over the Predators and are now one win away from a repeat.

There was some action late in the first period, though, between Sidney Crosby and P.K. Subban. In case you’ve been out of the loop, Crosby allegedly said Subban had bad breath. Crosby denied those claims, but nonetheless a bad breath storyline developed and added to the riff between the two. That bad blood was on full display Thursday night.

Crosby and Subban got tangled up, which led to Crosby shoving Subban’s head into the ice while Subban held the Penguins star’s leg.

For a guy with a long history of head injuries, Crosby didn’t seem to care about the potential consequences of repeatedly shoving Subban’s skull.

Pens fans point to Subban grabbing Crosby’s leg like it warrants Crosby’s actions. That’s just stupid. Don’t be a stupid person.

Crosby isn’t the cleanest player. He’s one of the greatest, but he’s far from clean. Let’s just leave it at that and move on.
