We are back, baby! UFC 213 has it all with title fights, savvy vets, and girl-on-girl action. It’s safe to say I am super excited to win big money on this 4th of July week. All right, let’s dive on in!
**Disclaimer- I refuse to pick between Whittaker and Romero.. too close, too scary.
Anthony Pettis vs. Jim Miller and Alistair Overeem vs Fabricio Werdum
“Showtime” Pettis is on one bad streak, losing 4 of his last 5 fights. And it won’t get any easier against Jim Miller who is an absolute beast on the ground. But Pettis will get back into the win column this weekend as “Showtime” fights a safe fight by dancing around the ring and performing calculated take downs.
The UFC Heavy-Weight division is wide open, there are no clear contenders to fight the champ Stipe which adds even more pressure to this fight. Long story short, Werdum is not even close to Overeem’s striking level and will not be able to touch him. As long as Alistair stays disciplined and doesn’t get submitting, he should come out with a KO victory.
Parlay Alistair Overeem -135 and Anthony Pettis -240
Amanda Nunes vs Valentina Shevchenko
I will always love Amanda Nunes because she won me big money when destroying Ronda Rousey. With that said, I’m going to like her even more when she wins me big money by losing to Valentina Scevchenko. “Bullet” has a nice two fight winning streak with victories over Holly Holm and Julianna Pena after coming off a tough lose to Nunes. Don’t be afraid if Shevchenko comes out with a slow start and loses the first round; she is a notoriously slow starter. Round two will be a whole new story as Shevchenko grinds out the rest of the fight until gaining a unanimous decision victory. Big Buck Hunter says… Valentina Shevchenko -125.. (I would even wait a couple days to make this bet because I think Shevchenko’s odds will improve).
