NASCAR’s Monster Energy Cup Series rolls on to Kentucky Speedway, a 1.5-mile course where the drivers will race under the lights.
Its inaugural event was held in 2011, making the Quaker State 400 is one of the newer races on the NASCAR circuit.
Here are my picks for Saturday night’s race:
*odds are according to Westgate Sportsbook
Sleeper Pick: Ryan Newman (100/1)
Newman, as I’ve mentioned before, is a seasoned veteran who I’m always surprised to see with these kinds of longshot odds. He’s been solid at Kentucky, and while he’s a risky play you might see a nice reward if you’re willing to put some money down on him.
Value Pick: Matt Kenseth (18/1)
Kenseth is the only driver with a top 10 finish in every Cup Series race at Kentucky. He also won the race in 2013. His successful history at Kentucky makes him a fantastic pick at 18/1 odds.
Two Safest Picks: Kyle Busch (5/1) & Brad Keselowski (5/1)
Busch won at Kentucky in 2011 and 2015, while Keselowski did so in 2012, 2014, and 2016. Needless to say, that makes them the two top drivers at the track. It’s no surprise to see they have the best odds, along with Kyle Larson and Martin Truex Jr, for Saturday night.
