NASCAR’s Monster Energy Cup Series heads back to the “Tricky Triangle” on Sunday.
Rookie Ryan Blaney earned his first career win at Pocono Raceway a few weeks back, but can he make it a season sweep?
*odds are according to Westgate Sportsbook
Sleeper Pick: Dale Earnhardt Jr. (50/1)
It hasn’t been the most successful farewell campaign for Earnhardt Jr. He’s been plagued by bad luck all season long. The fan favorite is due for a win, though, and Pocono is a track he’s succeeded at in the past.
Value Pick: Kurt Busch (30/1)
People forget Busch has won at Pocono three times and is the active leader with 14 top fives. 30/1 odds is pretty disrespectful to one of NASCAR’s most popular veterans.
Two Safest Picks: Martin Truex Jr. (4/1) & Kyle Larson (7/1)
These two have been at the front in nearly every race so far this year, and I don’t see that changing in Sunday’s race. If you’re not feeling risky, these are the guys you should be putting your money on.
My Pick: Kyle Busch (7/2)
OK, so I’m picking the odds-on favorite. Whatever. The younger Busch brother should have multiple wins this season but has been caught in some unlucky wrecks. That’ll end Sunday as he reaches victory lane for the first time this year and first time of his career at Pocono.
