The Tigers have nothing to play for these last few games of the season, so why not attempt to make things interesting?
Well that’s exactly what they’re doing. Their utility man Andrew Romine will play all nine positions on Sunday vs. the Twins.
Barring something strange, Ausmus said, Andrew Romine will play all nine positions Sunday at Minnesota.

This season, Romine has appeared in 25 games at second base, 22 in center field, 21 at first, 21 at third, 16 in left, 10 in right, nine at short and one at pitcher.
With Brad Ausmus out as Tigers manager after the season, this seems a lot like a way for him to make his mark before he departs, and I don’t hate it one bit.
Romine will become the fifth player in MLB history to play all nine positions in one game, and you better believe I’ll be tuning in to this otherwise pointless game.
