The playoff field is set, which means we’re in for one hell of a race at Chicagoland Speedway on Sunday.
Here are my picks…
*odds are according to Westgate Sportsbook
Sleeper Pick: Kasey Kahne (300/1)
Mega-sleeper here, but hey why not? Out of all drivers with long-shot odds, Kahne is the one I’m most confident in to squeak out a win at Dover. Don’t go in expecting a win, but if you’re feeling lucky then I guess give it a shot.
Value Pick: Chase Elliott (20/1)
Elliott has to win a race at some point, right? In his three career Monster Energy Cup Series races at Dover, he’s looked pretty impressive. Lock in Elliott if you’re looking for some risk, but solid value.
Two Safest Picks: Martin Truex Jr. (9/4) and Kyle Busch (13/4)
You know the deal here.
My Pick: Jimmie Johnson (6/1)
It’s a seven-time champion. He’s had success at Dover. He’s in the midst of a playoff race. Enough said.
